Little Pig Show Time Ep 2
12.23.06 (9:23 pm)   [edit]

Welcome back to "Little Pig's Show Time"!  小 猪 好 介 绍!笑 笑 没 烦 恼!

YES!  Run out of idea to play during this Christmas?  This game is best played in a big group - "Play Sketch"

First get everybody to write down 10 'wishes' (or pranks to be exact what they want the chosen 'victim' to do) on pieces of paper.  Fold & mix them up.  The 1st player draws a wish.

See the wish

then choose a 'victim' from the crowd.

'Victim' not knowing what's the wish, must guess and act it out with the 'Player'.  Player must not say any words written on the paper.

If 'Victim' fails to get it right, both of them will be punished together.  If the 'Sketch' fails to entertain the crowd, both of them will also be punished!  It's an ultimate test on acting, chemistry and imagination.  End of the day, it's all about ENTERTAINMENT!

Just a warning: Be careful what U wish for!

What goes around comes around!

My New Pet
12.23.06 (8:53 pm)   [edit]

Yesterday afternoon I discovered the death of my new pet - a digital rabbit.

Then I saw a reset button at the back, and I got another new pet instantly. I chose a pig this time. Cute or not?  It is still alive as I wrote this. Finally figured out what the buttons & icons meant.

Embarassed

Yesterday My Winter Solstice
12.23.06 (8:30 pm)   [edit]

Dong Zhi or Winter Solstice occurs around 22nd-23rd December.  Consider as one of the important festivals in Chinese calendar.  The Northern hemisphere on this day experiences the shortest daytime and longest nighttime.

We ate tangyuan (rice dumplings), a kind of stuffed small sweet ball of glutinous rice flour with fillings of sesame, red bean and peanuts.

The Chinese word tang (meaning "soup") sounds like tuan, which means reunion, while yuan means perfect and happy. The entire phrase tangyuan therefore symbolizes "tuanyuan" (family reunion), and eating it at the winter solstice signifies family unity and prosperity.

U Say What?!!
12.16.06 (2:26 am)   [edit]

Dad vomited blood yesterday.  My mum freak out.  That was what my dad told her exactly, "I vomited blood."  These frightening 3 words turned up to be a false alarm.  My dad did vomited blood in action, but it was his gum that was bleeding and it was a lot of blood cos' his whole lower row of teeth was bleeding.  I suspected it was a warning sign that he was lacking calcium.  And maybe due to this worry, dad also complained some pain near his heart.  And the worries added on cos' he kept his mobile phone in his chest pocket usually.  Hence the next day, he went to do some medical tests immediately.  On the same day, the doctor announced everything was ok.  Suddenly back like a roaring dragon, he wanted to go out to exercise when he came home for his usual afternoon rest.  We couldn't stop teasing him that he "recovered" so fast after just vomited blood yesterday.  It was a funny episode from the 'quiet' dad, but I am so glad it is just a false alarm.

The Lights That Warm My Heart
12.15.06 (2:50 am)   [edit]

The old Christmas card I received from an old friend doesn't sing anymore.  It was plain silly that I used to be afraid of spoiling it and rarely opened it.  A friend used to ask me did I keep all the cards I received.  I still remember my answer to her then that I threw a lot away due to limited space.  At times, I felt that I kept throwing the wrong things away.  But strangely after she asked me about that, I kept all I received.  With all these modern technology, handwritten cards have become so much more precious and rare.  I was tidying some old stuff and gone were the time and thoughts those cards had witnessed.  There were people who I lost touched with.  And the best part was, those cards kept last time? I had thrown away the envelopes with written address on them.  How silly can I be?

The Christmas season is here again and I always adore the warm atmosphere in the air.  Even Christmas trees looked so warm & sweet in my eyes.  There are people I am thinking about.  Even near or far away or 1 way trip.  That's enough for me.

Going Through That Door
12.13.06 (3:29 am)   [edit]
The teenager peeked over the shoulder of a guy at me.  There was a sense of familiarity in those pair of eyes.  I took my food order from the counter and walked to his back where the utensils were.  I looked up again and saw him face to face.  We both didn't say a word.  But it was weird that we both had the same expression of not knowing where to start.  I couldn't say the name out.  Neither could he.  I looked up at him again and said, "Never mind...  You look like someone I knew."

"Who?" he asked that sounded more like an encouragement than a question.

Turned out that he was a boy actor I knew before.  It was about 2 years since I saw him in person during past shoot.  The last time was from the big screen on an audience seat.  And now he had grown up so much to a young teenager who stood two heads taller than me.  I almost couldn't recognize him.  He was back to do some drama at the TV station.  We met again after dinner and suddenly like a child play, I followed him too through another exit door I never knew before.  Just because it was another door, I asked him where it leads to.  He told me it was the same as another door and told me that way didn't required the pass, cos' he didn't bring it with him.  We went down two flights of stairs and I was surprised to see door on each floor and wondered where they lead to.  He too peeked out from the small glass screen on the door not knowing the answer.  Coming down to the final door, he thought it was locked.  I reassured him that I had the pass with me.  But proven the door didn't required a pass.  Pushing it opened, he told me he was going that way and asked what about me.  I pointed another way.  We bid good-bye and such a small episode seemed to be the last frame at that moment.  I walked back to the building to continue my work and few drops of rain started to fall.

Dad didn't say a word when I went home.  I looked at his tired face.  Suddenly, I discovered new brown spots on his face.  My dad is ageing.

Caught By Silence & Wailing
12.11.06 (1:59 am)   [edit]

Can't believe I missed out talking with my dad completely today.  I didn't even know he was home cos' the house was too quiet while I was doing my stuff.  The next moment he was fast asleep.  I feel sorry for neglecting him...

Late last night, a dog in the neighbouring area was wailing.  I got up from my bed and looked out of the window to try to make out where was the source.  The wailing continued till it crept up my spine.  It was really like those sound made when a dog saw a ghost.  It was disturbing cos' I was already imagining that.  And if that was true I was sure it wasn't a normal sight if that disturbed the dog so much.  Suddenly I felt conscious cos' you wouldn't want to be caught if a ghost was really passing by and discovered someone was still awake and noticed the difference.  I climbed back into bed and kept my eyes shut and pulled the blanket over my neck.  And the next moment I found myself trying to blog that in my dream!

Voted Most Interesting Efforts to join pastry with dessert - "Color Hearts"

P/S: All winners didn't survive after the award.  But it was a memorable event.

Yesterday Once More
12.07.06 (12:28 am)   [edit]

It's pretty disturbing to hear there been 10 cases of people who died in their sleep within 5 weeks on the news recently.  It may be due to fatigue.  The latest news reported yesterday 6 Dec, was a taxi driver who was found dead in his nap in his taxi parked in the car park.  It was said he clocked about 12 hours of work everyday.  The police found his body 13 hours later.  And another 2 tragic cases of suicide attempts into the incoming train within 4 days.  My sister found herself in a crowd of chaos at the train station in the early morning to work that day.  A man ended his life by jumping into the incoming train.  His body was severed into three parts as a result. On top of that, there were similar previous cases just this year that reported horrifying death.  Pretty depressing news...
