I love the presents below the Christmas trees wrapped in many different sizes & colors, despite they are just dummies for decoration in the company.  Cos’ I love to imagine what lie inside & in what kind of scenarios the story will be.  The lights and the little hanging décors on the Christmas trees look warm & sweet.  It’s drizzling today, leaving the air cold & wet.  I worked till my eyes felt like shutting to rest before breaking in red for all the monitoring of the dumping out of the final online on tapes one after the other.  And batch capturing & dubbing were also happening in another 2 rooms.  Recently there were just too many bits & pieces of Visuals out of sync.  At times it was like 1 dialogue line.  Some are believed caused either by machines or human errors.

I was moved to receive a call from a friend far away across the ocean tonight.  Especially after a long day at work with many already left for the day.

These pictures look interesting to me, so I thought of putting them up for my Christmas greeting.  ‘Wood worms’ bit most of the scripts that I kept in the cupboard recently.  I hardly opened the cupboard, however their visit was unimagined for.  Their hideout places were really well covered underneath & in between my pile of scripts.  If you never moved the scripts, you will never suspect their ‘camps’ there.  I was forced to throw them away in the end.  I was sad at first, but looking at their ‘art work’ kind of threw me back into smile.  Sometimes they look like leaves or a bird in flight.  These little fellas were like paper cutters to create such even patterns from the top page to the last like obeying some strict command.  The pictures kind of sum up my feelings for this year…

Stay true to yourself & dream a little dream today!!!

If love is like a flower, it must be really cosy sitting in the middle embraced by its petals.  And I shall sleep in like a child.  With days counting, soon leaving another year behind, I am thankful for all the feelings felt through my past journey.  I used to tell a friend of mine, how blissful I felt for loving a guy then & she replied how mushy I was...  Blissful to find beauty in an ordinary day, blissful to feel warmth for missing someone that day, blissful to want the best for the one you cared, blissful to want a better me, blissful to feel an electric current running in the finger whenever you are thinking of that special one.  Blissful to feel so contented.  It's a half love song, but I no longer feel sorry for.

A night of unforgettable emotion.  Love it ain't easy, but I never stop seeking.

So as I remembered, till it faded gradually together with my gentle whispering...

"You're bigger, you're brighter than the stars.  Don't look back to where you wound, Tonight......

I found myself singing Mercy Star chorus days after the concert.  Its after-effect had caught on me like flu, except I'm enjoying every bit of it.  If it hadn't been mentioned, indeed the band NightSound has stayed on close to 10 years & still goes on counting.  Chance upon a time, I seen how instrument comes in 1 by 1 putting depth & ‘colors' to their songs during their composition process.  I truly admire how another story can be told this way.  My friend is even cute enough to joke whether I have a crush on the vocalist, after seeing mine too energetic support of trying to convince them to buy the $38 dollars ticket for their Fields of Lavender gig at Esplanade Recital Studio.  (U predicted right, I failed.)  Maybe it all started from my friendship with the vocalist, REQ back in school & more opportunities of hanging with them through my friend.  I admire his persistence of realizing his dreams.  He is the one who keeps the name NightSound alive & not just a name in history.  And the passion for music keeps him in the right place doing what he is very good in, which is making music from the heart.  And not to forget its members then & now, who play very crucial roles to put where NightSOund is today.  I think what makes NightSound unique is their constant efforts to experiment, change & collaborate with many different talented artists & music makers for their songs.  I truly think they have walked out of the local limitation framing to more diverse heartfelt songs.  If hard work & persistence do pay off, may this make in Singapore band be like the hardy & drought tolerant lavender & gets their standing in International ground eventually & announced live on TV, "We are NightSound from Singapore!"

In a night where dream & reality collided

I walked the path where lighted balloons lied side by side

Like a boat in the sea sailing towards the lights

I dunno what to expect that night

I have songs singing in my mind

& my heart bumping step by step forward.

To the waiting moment where familiar & new songs will be sung

As audience applaused, and lights came on in colors,

And microphone sounded,

Silence finally broke free by NightSound...
