The Rice Project Photo Exhibition 13 Feb - 22 Feb 2009
02.20.09 (12:29 am)   [edit]

You could bring this bear home for contributing $50 onwards!  The photography exhibition features the works of 10 photographers during their trip in Sri Lanka visiting the Tsunami survivors.  The fund raising event hopes to raise fund to build houses for the people in Sri Lanka who became homeless after the Tsunami.  Each house cost $2000 to build.  You could contribute by purchasing the photo prints, teddy bear (shown above) or postcards. Every dollar counts.  Let's help them build homes not just houses.

Further, Colder, Silent

I think it's harder & harder to hear any words of concern nowadays.  Maybe people are just too busy,or simply is not there.  Even knowing some of my friends character nature that words like those are rare, I wish I were more forgiving & less expecting.  My sensitivity is killing me.  The road to growing up is lonely & at times unbearably cold.  I am stronger today, but my heart is worn.  Maybe my father is feeling the same, & he ain't speaking till something triggered it off.  That's when I heard his thoughts but expressions & words so easily misunderstood.  I wish it started off in a peaceful note.  Why things seemed only visible on the surface nowadays?  If time doesn't make you know a person better, what does?
